Senior Pastor, Needville Global Methodist Church

Rev. Richard “Cap” McIlnay is a third-generation Methodist minister with a heart for faith, service, and community. A proud Desert Storm veteran, Cap served in both the U.S. Army National Guard and the U.S. Air Force before answering his lifelong call to ministry.

He earned his B.A. in History from Midwestern University and his Master of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary. Before entering full-time ministry, he built a successful career in business leadership and marketing in Houston.

Over the years, Pastor Cap has faithfully served churches in Oklahoma and Texas, and since September 2024, he and his wife Charlotte have joyfully made Needville their home. Together, they share five children and sixteen grandchildren.

Pastor Cap’s ministry is rooted in compassion, community, and a deep desire to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with all.
